Blind Box

The work challenges the traditional Blind Box by transforming it into a platform for the exchange of ideas and thoughts. Inspired by Hans-Georg Gadamer's 'Fusion of horizons’, which posits that each of our worldviews is malleable and that through contact with each other's worldviews or ‘Horizons', we can find mutual understanding of concepts.

Viewers are encouraged to confront their own presuppositions to reflect the object inside the Blind Box based solely on external characteristics, even before knowing the artist's interpretation. Thus the work invites people to communicate with the artist by creating a dynamic fusion of horizons.
